Broken But Born Divine

Chase Lewis was the eldest son of the Lewis family. He went missing as a child and lived through twenty years of hardship before the family found him and brought him home. By then the Lewises had an adopted son, and that son held the position that had been Chase's by birth. The adopted brother behaved kindly toward Chase while he was taking over what belonged to Chase, the family's secret manual included. He then accused Chase of entering the family's forbidden area. The family believed the adopted brother. Chase's fiancée went over to him. The family sent Chase to the Shadow Bureau, where he was held in a cell and tortured. His meridians were destroyed and a bone in his shoulder was pierced through, and he was left in that condition. Eight years later he was let out. He became a disciple of the War Saint, and it was then that he learned he carried a Martial God Body, something that appears about once in a thousand years. He went back with that training behind him and kept his distance from the Lewis family.
