Ivy Hughes wants Aaron Grant to get on with a life that has nothing to do with her, and she cannot ask him for it, because the reason is the one thing she will not tell him. Seven years ago she gave him her heart to keep him alive and never said so. Then she invented a reason to leave, and she went with his resentment on her, other people's blame on top of it, and her health gone. They are put back in front of each other seven years later.
