Zacarías Montiel comes back after six years abroad to propose to Isabela. She leaves him over it, on the grounds that she is holding out for Mr. Z, the man behind the Centurion Group, and for the money attached to him. Zacarías spent those six years building Centurion into the largest financial empire in the world under exactly that name, and he put the sitting president in office. He does not tell her any of this.
