The Line: Savior or Destroyer

Fletcher Ward's master left instructions that Fletcher was to blind himself, destroy his own spiritual core, and guard the tomb. He did all three and stayed there five years while everyone who knew of it laughed at him. None of it was punishment. It was a test set by his master, and Fletcher was not told. Serena Horton came to the tomb to end their engagement. While that was happening his junior sister Su Wan'er and the inner sect disciple Luo Yun took the chance to cut the Heavenly Dao Bone out of him and throw him off a cliff. He finished the test at that moment, took what his master had left him, and came back. He decided to sit the Seven Peaks Assessment and get back to the Seventh Peak. The night before it, Meng Yao, who had once been betrothed to him, came to test him herself, and her Yin Fire Physique flared up.
