Ryan Chase cannot tell anyone who he is. His fiancee Mia poisoned him at a party on a yacht and put him over the side, and he came out of the water alive with no voice, no name and nothing he used to have. Sophia found him. She does not speak either, and she took him back to her family's small restaurant and gave him a job there. Sophia's stepmother Diane treats him badly for as long as he is there. He and Sophia get close and then fall in love. Sophia's father James becomes seriously ill and Ryan takes on the job of helping the family through it. In the city Mia forges a marriage certificate to take Ryan's company, which is worth billions, and Thomas, who works for Ryan, puts himself at risk holding on to what is left of it. Diane learns who Ryan is and still will not help James. Ryan then gets word to Thomas, ready to go back.
