In Cathay the old gods have gone quiet. The line of myth was cut somewhere in the past and the names went with it, and a god whose name nobody remembers cannot be called on. Gods from other countries still answer when they are called. Zack Smith is a history student who ends up in this world with the Divine Pantheon Codex awake in his head, which means he has the names. Pigsy loses his first fight and is humiliated over it, and Zack recites a poem that gives him his divine power back. When Lady Moon moves against the country's fortune, Zack calls Selene, who steps across the moon and kills her. After that the Heavenly Court shows itself. The True Lord puts a spear through Susanoo. When the Ancestral Dragon roars, the Norse Demon Dragon is ground to dust, and the Three Pure Ones bring out the Primordial Treasures and use them to hold down the gods of other countries.
