Infinite Evolution: From Serpent to Immortal

In the Great Wilds a beast's bloodline decides what it can ever become, and Ethan is born a snake with none worth naming. He is found in the Misty Mountains by the Azure Eyes, a serpent clan whose members are otherwise all female, and they take him in as the only male among them. What he has instead of a bloodline is the ability to devour and change: every beast he swallows, every spirit flame he refines, moves him one step up. He wakes the winged serpent blood sleeping in him and starts beating things that should be far out of his reach. The clan has lost its ancestral ground, and he takes them back toward it. He fights in the Hidden Dragon Battle, where the strongest young talents of the region are gathered, and comes out of it with standing in Celestide City and a position under its ruler. Rival sects test him constantly over what his blood really is. Older powers have been watching his rise and saying nothing. Then the Serpent Matriarch, the demon saint of his own kind, comes out of hiding with her own plans for him.
