The Godfather's Guardian Angel

On a snowy Thanksgiving, Rita's uncle William and his family wreck the dinner she has cooked and pay a thug to go after her. Rita has healing powers, and the family has been using those powers for its own benefit. With the thug on her trail and nowhere to go, she is found by Richard Genovese, a mafia godfather, and his wife, who take her with them. The couple have no heir. They see the kindness in her and decide to adopt her. On the road to their estate her powers get them through several dangers, which puts Richard's rival on alert. At the manor she heals Richard's father Arthur, who is close to death, and finds an heirloom the family had lost. The household comes to trust her, and she stays on as a Genovese.
