The wedding date was set and Tracy Swift had three years with her fiance behind her. She flew as a co-pilot. On the night of the third anniversary she went to bed with a man she had never met, and in the morning she wanted it ended and said so, since she felt bad about her fiance. Her fiance had spent that same night in the next room with her stepsister. On the wedding day she found out that the man from the anniversary night was her fiance's uncle. Her fiance used the ceremony to say what had been going on with the stepsister and to break the engagement in front of the guests, and by the afternoon high society had her down as a joke. The uncle proposed to her that day, and he was the one man in the city nobody could get near.
