Lie Inherited

Ian was the eldest son and heir of his family. Elias arrived with a forged DNA test. He then staged a traffic accident and claimed Ian's driving had blinded him. The family believed Elias and sent Ian to prison. Ian served five years. On his release he found that his fiancée was carrying Elias's child and that the family still took Elias at his word. He cut off contact with all of them, and in that period he came across evidence of what Elias had arranged. He left to continue his research under his university professor, taking the professor's name instead of his family's. Three years later he came back and laid out Elias's scheme in front of everyone.
