Unlucky Princess... Or Blessing?

The Empress of the Xia empire gives birth to a daughter, and the court reads the birth as an omen of disaster. The infant is carried off to the Cold Palace. A fire breaks out there and burns everything, and that appears to be the end of it. Five years later a little girl called Belle turns up while the Empress is praying for peace, and each of them saves the other. The Empress takes her in as a daughter and brings her into the palace, knowing nothing about where she came from. Belle can move from place to place instantly, and she uses it constantly and without much caution, appearing where a member of the royal family is in trouble and getting them out of it. The palace starts calling her its little luck. She solves so many of their problems, so quickly, that people begin looking harder at the child herself, and the question of who she actually is works its way toward the Empress.
