King of Systems: All Systems Are My Prey

In this world a person's worth is their system, the thing bound to them that decides what they can do, and a person born without one is treated as livestock. Mo Yue is in a mine where the bodies are left where they fall, and by every visible measure he has nothing. What he actually carries is the System King, which does not grant power directly. It eats other systems and keeps what they were. Every enemy who comes at him with a stronger gift is feeding him. He starts with a riot in the mine and works outward, through a trial that turns on him, through a crisis inside the palace, and into the quarrel among the four continents, taking on companions and making enemies who are much better placed than he is. The trials of the four continents open while a sleeping dragon stirs, and Mo Yue finds that the world he has been climbing through is a small corner of something larger and considerably worse.
