Golden Cudgel: Rise of the Heir

Mark Cutter's family raised him as the one who would carry them, and when his awakening produced no Deific Weapon they cut him off and his fiancee left. What he had actually awakened was the Supreme Deific Weapon System, which no one else has. The first weapon it gives him is the Unbound Staff, one of the Drakonian Deific Weapons. He pulls it out in his dormitory room and the ground shakes, the sky turns over, and the disturbance is large enough that it cannot be hidden. He then works out the rest of it: killing Voidbeasts pays him in Deific Coins, and the coins unlock more weapons, so every hunt makes the next one easier.
