When the Wolf Fell in Love

In the Blade clan a person's standing rests on the wolf they carry, and Hilary is taken for someone with none. She is kept there as a servant, insulted and beaten for it, and she says little about any of it. She was born into the Royston family, the White Wolf line that had already fallen, and her mother sealed her power and hid her with the Blade clan when she was small. Hilary does not remember that. She is married off in another woman's place, into the Shadow clan, where she meets Aldric. Neither of them trusts the other at first, and it is a long time before either does the other any good. Her memories come back to her in pieces. She learns how her mother died and how the Royston family was brought down, and the sealed power starts to move in her again.
