The Curse of the Midas Touch

There is a goblet that gives whoever drinks from it the Midas Touch, and every use of that power takes life from the person using it. It belongs to the Wine God, who was walking the world disguised as a homeless man when a young woman stopped to help him, and he gave it to her. A prince who wanted power used her as a pawn. Her sister, jealous of her, worked against her, and the woman turned her sister's family to gold before her own story ended. The Wine God then revealed that she was his daughter. He turned time back and gave her the life over again. The second time through, the sister gets to the goblet first and takes the Midas Touch for herself. The prince is still after the throne, and the curse works the way it always did. The sister's body rots, greed spreads through the household and then the court, and the woman watches from a distance while they pull each other down.
