Tales of Humanoid Creatures

Mia stumbles on a mimic identical to her husband Gavin at home. Gavin messages her: these memory-eating shape-shifters can only be destroyed by fire. Trapped inside, she identifies her visiting father as a mimic by his craving for raw meat and muddled memories, lures him to the countryside under a fake prayer pretext and burns him. Back home, she detects oddities in her mother, hidden mimics in murals and a fake Gavin.
