I Teach Aliens to Farm

An engineer named Frank is moved to Empyrean, a planet where the ground stays frozen and the crops fail. He arrives with no system and no special ability and is counted among the weaker members of the Empyrean tribe. The Greylings under the tribe work the fields and bring in almost nothing. The warlike Blacktides are waiting for a chance to absorb the tribe. Frank sees the tribe using Star Core Crystals, which are rare, as explosives for breaking open ground. He uses what he knows and makes a compound fertilizer out of the Star Core. He then makes a bet with the Blacktide chief on a harvest in seven days. He allies with the Stone Hides, puts up greenhouses and farms the wasteland with technology.
