Not Your Average Eldritch Gamer

Lyle York is in a game with a ninety-nine percent death rate, dragged into it out of a college classroom. The others in his instance are running and screaming. He has switched on the Brutality System, which scores him on cruelty, and he goes through the place as the Bloodthirsty Butcher. One of the things in there comes through a door with an axe, laughing, then sees him and goes down on its knees. 'Big brother, I was only passing through.' He breaks one instance after another and collects the crystals the anomalies leave behind. He clears out a village. He takes over a bus. The woman with the split mouth ends up kneeling in front of him, and he spends some of his time teasing the bosses. The system keeps sounding the same alarm about an unknown error and another instance collapsing.
