Rise of the Starbound Empress

Liana held an office job. She woke in the body of Cecilia, a tyrant whose rule was close to collapse and who had enemies on every side, and within moments of opening her eyes she was in danger of being killed. The Empress System activated at that point. She handled the immediate threats one at a time and brought the people around her over to her side. She then fled. During the flight she picked up allies, fought alongside them, and moved from one planet to another, digging into the secrets of an ancient civilization on those planets. There was a betrayal along the way. She went on to bring the whole star region under her control, held off attacks from several directions, and set up a new order across it. After she took the crown, a second scheme behind the ancient secret came to light.
