Ivy is a sophomore in high school and the heir to a large fortune, which she keeps quiet about at school because she wants friends who like her for herself. She has a very good singing voice. Vanessa becomes her best friend, and Ivy is happy about it for a while. Vanessa uses her. She talks Ivy into singing for her in secret, so that the voice people hear as Vanessa's is Ivy's. Ivy goes along with it out of guilt. Then Ivy finds her boyfriend with Vanessa. She goes to Blake, a friend from childhood who is the star quarterback at the school, and starts working on getting her own name back on her own voice.
