Sleepwalking to Godhood

Serena has claimed Ethan, which puts him under the protection of her sword sect in the world of immortals and gives him its training to draw on. The claim costs her. There is a curse inside her that feeds on her love for him, and it is eating her from within as that love grows. On Earth, Ethan is a college student who avoids people and cannot get through a conversation. He falls asleep in one world and wakes in the other, and whatever strength he gains stays with him across the crossing.
