The Scapegoat's Revenge

Denise is drunk at the wheel and there is someone on the road. In the minutes after it, the Gu family expects Daisy to say she was driving, the way she has always taken whatever the family hands her. She refuses. She says at the scene, in front of everyone standing there, who was actually driving. She has done all of this once already. Last time she took the charge, served the sentence, and came home to what her family had waiting for her, and then she woke up three years earlier at the roadside. Her mother goes on favouring Denise. Gerald, the brother who took her out of the orphanage and into the Gu house five years before, covers for Denise as well, and Daisy tells him to his face what those five years were. She cuts the family off and says she will beat them in the field they are known for. She starts again with a radio slot, then music, and her name gets around.
