Sit Down, Be Humble

In Napa Valley the biggest winery belongs to the Van Ness family, and everyone in the country knows the name. Stacy Van Ness is the heiress to it, and she keeps that quiet while she is with Pete Davis. Pete dumps her once his own career takes off, on the grounds that he now deserves someone better matched to him, with no idea who she actually is. So Stacy gets engaged to a man she has only just met, mostly to make a point. He is Kris, and he is running from a marriage his family arranged for him, so he does not know that the girl beside him is the Van Ness heiress his family picked out. Stacy also sets about telling people who she is, and nobody believes her. Spending time with Kris, she finds he is not what she assumed, and the two of them end up attached to each other.
