Undercover Protector

Damien Vasseur wants Laurine Combet, the head of the Combetis Group, and her family is prepared to press the match on him. To get out of it she needs a fiancé, and the man she picks is Richard Soret, a former special forces soldier she meets when he cannot cover his bill at a coffee shop. She offers him 50,000 euros to play the part. At the family dinner his service medal wins over her father Yvon, and Vasseur backs off. Living in the house, Richard treats the old injury that has kept Yvon ill for years. The cause is a hidden weapon, and he recognises the technique. It is the same one that killed his older martial brother. Vasseur does not let it go. He sends killers, then blocks the company's trade. Richard turns back each attempt and helps Laurine take a contract worth billions. On a camping trip he kills a bear with his hands to keep the Combet family safe. Afterwards Laurine tells him what stands behind the Vasseurs: the Mi family, tied to the criminal underworld, and possibly to his brother's death.
