Synopsis
He and his son have not spoken in years. The son plays for a team no one expects to go anywhere, and the father is brought in to coach it. Before that he was a basketball player people called the God of Basketball, and the career ended in public disgrace. He has been drinking since. He takes the coaching job partly out of pride and partly to answer the people who said he was finished. He means to keep the team from going under and to be called again what he used to be called. He is still fighting the drink while he does it.
